beyond just doing good

blank space is on a mission to create a blueprint for better business

Meet the Founder

Natalie Byrne was part of the early movement to re-think our roles in improving society and founded blank space to serve at the intersection of business, culture and impact. An impact and communications firm, blank space leads strategy for Fortune 500s, global brands, foundations, funders, celebrities and thought leaders. We move clients forward into the blank space to discover their purpose, then scale their business, foundation or platform to ultimately create a legacy that has a positive impact on the world.

This evolved during her tenure leading brand purpose strategy for Unilever’s Prestige division, a portfolio of eight luxury personal care brands. She also worked with Unilever global brands and Founders during the M&A process, developing thought leadership, impact and communications strategy that resulted in an estimated 30% increase in valuation. Prior to this, Natalie developed and spearheaded Dermalogica’s FITE initiative to empower over 100k entrepreneurs worldwide; over a decade later, FITE is still recognized as one of the first of its kind, and established a blueprint for authentic corporate brand purpose.

Honored to be a White House delegate under President Obama, she traveled with him to Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurs Summit as a speaker and facillitator. Byrne serves on Loyola Marymount University’s Business College Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Innovation and was on Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle. A member of the Explorers Club, Natalie is humbled to be amongst some of the greatest pioneers who’ve traveled to the moon, the deepest parts of the ocean, and explore solutions to the climate and biodiversity crisis. She has worked closely with the United Nations since 2012 on innovative leadership and integrating business leaders under the SDGs.
